The Free Peoples of Russia House is a nonprofit initiative representing the Resistance to the Putin's regime. Established by the Congress of People's Deputies of the Russian Republic, it serves as a common platform for the Russian democratic opposition that shares the principles of the Berlin Declaration of 2023. The House includes supporters of all forms of resistance against the current regime.

John E. Herbst

Ambassador John E. Herbst is senior director of the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center and a 31-year U.S. Foreign Service veteran who retired as career minister.

He served as U.S. ambassador to Ukraine (2003–06) during the Orange Revolution, strengthening bilateral ties and supporting free elections, and earlier as ambassador to Uzbekistan (2000–03), where he helped establish a U.S. base for Operation Enduring Freedom.

Former Coordinator for Reconstruction and Stabilization, he launched the Civilian Response Corps, later led the Center for Complex Operations, writes for major outlets, and is a frequent commentator on Ukraine and Russia.
